Network Topology

F1060 deployed with master and backup redundancy, connected to Router.

Problem Description

Two F1060s work in active / standby mode. Reth ports are configured on the F1060. If an aggregation port is configured on the opposite end ( Router ), some traffic may be failed to transmit.

Process Analysis

If an aggregation interface is configured on the Router, check the ARP table on the Router, and the outbound interface is the aggregation interface. When receiving the packet returned by F1060, the Router will randomly select a physical interface based on the packet quintuple. The returned packets are sent to the standby device of the redundancy group, which will cause service interruption;

If vlan-interface is configured on the Router, check the ARP table on the Router, and the outbound interface is a physical port. After receiving the F1060 packet, the Router will return from the original interface or the master device of the redundancy group. Business will not be affected.

Solution

Change the aggregation interface of the Router to the vlan-interface connecting with F1060.
