What are the functions of FIT AP?
The main function of FIT AP is to provide wireless radio frequency communication to the client, and then connect to the wired network through the Ethernet port. FIT AP can convert 802.3 messages and 802.11 messages. As a "Fit" AP, the FIT AP is controlled and managed by the AC without configuration. All configurations are automatically obtained from the AC. AP is not completely without independent functions, it can provide users with key functions, encrypt traffic, including WEP, TKIP encryption and AES encryption. Furthermore, the AP has buffer resources to ensure the forwarding of high-priority traffic. FIT AP supports forwarding priority of packet classification and has multiple forwarding queues to ensure that packets with high priority can be forwarded in a high-speed queue. For example, voice services can be guaranteed first.Furthermore the AP also has the function of scanning the wireless environment, which can locate clients, identify illegal APs, and check out ad hoc users, so that administrators can combine certain wireless tools to take certain planning and processing for the wireless environment.
