The idea of locating the fault is: first check whether the powered PD device meets the POE power supply requirements of our device, then check the power supply status of the device's POE interface, and finally collect and check related information analysis according to the error message when the POE function is enabled.
1.Check network cable distance
It is recommended that the power supply device and the power receiving PD device use a twisted pair cable with specifications exceeding Category 5 and above, and the distance is less than 100 meters.
2.Enable non-standard PD detection function
Only after the non-standard PD function can be detected on our equipment, the equipment can detect the non-standard PD and supply power to it.

3.Check the working status of the PoE interface of a device failure

4.Check whether an error is prompted when poe enable is enabled on the interface

5.Use FULL mode to upgrade device PSE file
If an error is displayed when the POE function is enabled on the interface, use the FULL mode to upgrade the PSE processing software.
Command: poe update full filename pse pse-id
For example: Upgrade S5120-EI switch PSE processing software

6. If the interface does not prompt an error when the POE function is enabled,Collect and feedback equipment related POE fault information. Please collect the following information and feed it back to the after-sales engineer.
(1) Collect POE status information on the device at the time of failure.
