Configuration Steps

1. WiFi AP three-in-one version

Fit, Cloud, Anchor AC working modes:

_ Fit mode: AP cannot work independently and is managed by AC

_ Cloud mode: AP can work independently, has all the functions of FAT mode, and manages through local and cloud simplified networks. (The Cloud mode of WiFi6 AP can also be understood as the FAT mode of WiFi5)

_ Anchor AC mode: AP acts as an AC in the network and can manage FIT APs. (When an AP in Anchor-AC mode finds that there are other ACs in the network, if the Anchor-AC is not configured to solidify the AC mode, it will automatically switch to the FIT mode and associate with the AC.)

2.Supported AP models

Using the three-in-one version of WiFi6 AP, users can switch the working mode of the AP without obtaining the version files of different working modes.

APs in FIT and Cloud modes can be online on the AC for working mode confirmation and switching operations.

Enter the AC command line interface, execute the display wlan ap verbose command in any view, and confirm the current working mode through the AP type field in the displayed information.

<AC> display wlan ap name ap1 verbose

# Return to the user view and execute the reset wlan ap command to manually restart the AP to make the work mode change effective.

<AC> reset wlan ap name ap1

Resetting the APs will terminate the CAPWAP tunnels with the AC. Continue? [Y/N]:Y

(2) Cloud switches to FIT mode

# Enter the AP view and execute the command to switch the working mode.

[AC] wlan ap ap1

[AC-wlan-ap-ap1] ap-mode fit

Changing the working mode will reboot the AP. For the operation to succeed, make sure the corresponding AP image exists on the AC or AP. Continue? [Y/N]:Y

7.Switching AP working mode through AP CLI:

# Enter the Probe view and execute the command to switch the working mode.

[AP] probe
