Customer's test environment:
Virtual Machine platform: VMware
Operating system: Windows Server 2019
Database: MS SQLserver 2017 V17.9.1
iMC PLAT Version: E0705
issue: When installing iMC platform, the following error occurs when connecting to the database that has been installed and configured:
Based on the error message, the problem was initially located on the database configuration side.
Therefore, we checked the following configuration elements of the database according to the configuration process.
1. whether the firewall has put through the relevant ports
2. whether the TCP/IP protocol in the database is open
3. whether the IP address and port of TCP/IP protocol are correctly configured
4. whether the SQLServer service is correctly opened
5. whether the instance name is the same as the default instance of iMC connection
By checking, the first 4 configurations are correct,in the 5th configuration, the customer has customized the instance name "SQLEXPRESS", which is not consistent with the default instance name when iMC connects to the database.
After changing the Default Instance to Other Instance and entering the customer-defined instance name "SQLEXPRESS", the problem is solved and the connection is normal.
