Problem Description

iMC login error: Invalid license, License does not match the system


Process Analysis

1.The IMC is installed on a VM running on esXi6.7. Compatibility list query is supported

Imc0706 only supports these systems.

1. VMware

·         VMware ESXi 5.5

·         VMware ESXi 6.0

·         VMware ESXi 6.5

·         VMware ESXi 6.7

2.collect the imcforgournd logs

a. Please backup IMC/Client/log/imcforgournd.txt to rename this file for IMC/Client/log/imcforgournd_bk.txt

 b. Go to the client\conf\log4j.properties file, change INFO to DEBUG, wait 30 seconds, then recur the problem and return the generated file to us

3.check the logs,

From the log, we can find the mac of the system have changed:

This is what caused this error.

Solution

1. If the license is an official license, you need to apply for 'H3C network management software license exception application and letter of commitment (for migration)'.  please contact h3cts@h3c.com.

2. If the license is a trial license, please contact the marketing for another trial license.

3. Please recommend customer that do not enable automatic VM migration for the iMC.
