How do I change the MAC address of a VM?
When you create a VM or a VM clone, UIS Manager automatically assigns one or multiple MAC addresses from the MAC address pool to that VM. The first three bytes of these MAC addresses are fixed at 0C:DA:41, which is the organizationally unique identifier (OUI) of H3C. The remaining three bytes of these MAC addresses are unique number strings randomly assigned to VMs. The MAC address pool provides 64K unique MAC addresses for VMs.
The MAC address of a VM does not change when it moves between hosts.
To change the MAC address of a VM:
1. Shut down the VM.
2. Click Edit to open the page for editing the VM settings.
3. On the Network tab, manually change the MAC address or click to obtain a new automatically assigned MAC address.
4. If you manually specify a MAC address, make sure it is unique on the LAN.
