Problem Description
In IPv6 networking, why can only 64-bit prefixes be configured in stateless address discovery mode?
Solution
When configuring the
address statelessly, the client side can automatically generate a 64-bit interface
identifier based on the 48-bit mac address information, while the length of the
IPv6 address is 128 bits, so the length of the interface address prefix on the
routing side can only be 64 bits.
