Traditional networking
A site WX5560H, the version is R5427, the site wants to achieve the effect of terminal load balancing between the dual 5G radios of the AP, so the dual 5G load balancing is configured, but the configuration does not take effect.
First of all, let's clarify the fault phenomenon first, use dis wlan ap all radio on the AC, and find that the number of two 5G terminals on the AP is indeed unbalanced. At this time, we check whether the dual 5G load balancing configuration is correct, and the commands configured under the AP group on site are correct:
wlan radio-load-balance overload-5g ssid-hide enable session xx gap xx
After enabling this function, when the number of online clients on the 5G radio reaches or exceeds the session threshold, and the difference between the number of online clients on another 5G radio in the same AP reaches or exceeds the session difference threshold, Then this radio frequency hides the SSID to reduce the number of accesses to overloaded 5G radios. When the number of online clients is less than the session threshold or the session difference does not reach the difference threshold, the radio will no longer hide the SSID.
Secondly, we checked the configuration on the AC and found that in addition to configuring dual 5G load balancing, traditional load balancing was also configured on site:
wlan load-balance mode session 1 gap 2
wlan load-balance enable
wlan load-balance access-denial 2
Will these two types of load balancing conflict? We got the answer by looking at the configuration guide. Official website link: https://www.h3c.com/en/d_202209/1697108_294551_0.htm
So far, we have found the root cause of the on-site problem. At the same time, after deleting the traditional load balancing configuration on site, the dual 5G load balancing takes effect.
