Problem Description
The user reported that the HDM interface of the R4700 G5 server does not display the Negotiated Speed, Port Connection, and LLDP information for the NIC-BCM957416-T-B-10Gb-2 network card.
Process Analysis
Enabling the MCTP option in the Advanced settings of the BIOS did not resolve the issue.
Solution
Upgrading the firmware version from 20.8.163.0 to 222.1.68 resolved the issue.
This is because the MCTP OVER PCIE option was enabled from the 222 firmware version, allowing for the retrieval of network card speed information and other details through MCTP.
