Problem Description

Timeout alarm error when telnetting to a router with Cloudnet.

Process Analysis

1. Tried to redeliver the telnet configuration for the router, and after redelivering it, it still could not be successfully telnetted.

system-view

telnet server enable

local-user admin class manage

password simple xxx

 service-type ssh telnet http https

 authorization-attribute user-role network-admin

2. Try to telnet to the router from a PC, after entering the telnet password need to reset the password to log in properly.

3. Check the Router configuration, the router enables the password-control function. When enabling this function, the password needs to change when the user first login. So Cloudnet cannot telnet the router.

4. Undo password-control change-password first-login enable, and then can telnet to Router normally on Cloudnet.

Solution

Undo password-control change-password first-login enable
