Problem Description

The two S6800-54QFs cannot be IRF stacked, and when doing IRF stacking prompts the

The port Ten2/0/1 can"t receive irf pkt, please check.
The Vxlan mode configurations should be the same on devices in one IRF.Please check them on the neighbor device connected to IRF-port 2

The S6800-54QF version information is as follows:

Process Analysis

  1. Check that the IRF-bound ports and cables are all OK.
  2. Check that the configuration of the IRF has specified the members, the ports are OK, and the IRF is active.

  3. Using display hardware-resource, found that the hardware resource modes of the two stacked devices are different, with the following feedback:

One of them has a hardware resource mode of border40k and one of them has a hardware resource mode of l3gw24k, and it is not possible to IRF stack them with different hardware resources.

Solution

Just modify the hardware resource mode of one of them, refer to the following command:

[H3C]hardware-resource vxlan l3gw24k
Do you want to change the specified hardware resource working mode? [Y/N]:y
The hardware resource working mode is changed, please save the configuration and reboot the system to make it effective.

Take care to save the configuration after the modification is complete, and then reboot to complete IRF stacking.
