The following alarm information is generated in the cloud platform:

“Failed to connect to the host”


Process Analysis

Confirm the meaning of the alarm:

The Cause for this alarm is that virtualization management software error. Possible reasons: 1. The host is disconnected; 2. The Libvert service is not running.

So we checked the connectivity with the host and the running status of the Libvirt service. Both are working normally.



Continue to confirm with the customer whether the alarm is still being generated, and reply that no similar alarms have been generated.

It is recommended that the customer continue to observe for a period of time after executing "connect to host" on the alarm host. If no new alarms are generated, it can be ignored, as the alarm should be the result of a temporary network issue causing a loss of connection, which has now been restored to normal.


Solution

Occasional alarms occurring due to network fluctuations have restored the network connection status with no need to pay much attention to it.
