After the customer reported that the two devices were stacked normally, a test was conducted to disconnect the stacking line, and then the stacking line was reconnected. It was found that the slot2 device kept restarting.
Confirmed that there are no issues with performing IRF operations and all steps are correct.
The hardware modes of both devices are also the same and have been restarted to take effect.
system-working-mode standard
hardware-resource switch-mode 0
hardware-resource routing-mode ipv6-64
hardware-resource vxlan l2gw
password-recovery enable
Upon rechecking the configuration, it was found that:
Master device:
irf mac-address persistent timer
irf auto-update enable
irf link-delay 0
irf member 1 priority 32
backup device:
irf mac-address persistent timer
irf auto-update enable
undo irf link-delay //Default is 4S
irf member 2 priority 1
After modifying the configuration on both ends to be consistent, the normal IRF was successful. After confirmation, the customer modified the irf link delay configuration after the first IRF, but disconnected the stacking line without saving the configuration, resulting in inconsistency between the backup device configuration and the host.
