When certain brands of serial lines are connected to the AP, even if parameters like baud rate are set correctly, the terminal software may print garbled characters as shown in the figure below:
1. Check the terminal software settings, parameters such as baud rate, parity check, stop bit are all correct.
2. Suspect the serial line is damaged, but connecting it to the switch shows normal echo.
3. Replaced with a serial line of the same brand, garbled characters still appear; switched to another brand of serial line, AP output is normal.
Replace with serial line from another vendor to resolve
