Problem Description

When PCinstalls genuine JAVA jre to access H3C self-developed HDM KVM will inevitably trigger this issue

Process Analysis

HDM

The JAVA certificate used for interface calls is a genuine certificate purchased by H3C from Oracle. It was valid for 3 years and has expired (effective from January 1, 2019, and expired at the end of December 2022). When a PC has a genuine JAVA JRE released by Oracle installed, it will verify this certificate. However, since the certificate has expired, it cannot be used.

Solution

Method 1. Installing the open-source JAVA plugin on a PC will skip certificate verify, enabling JAVA KVM to start normally. Download source for the open-source plugin: Search the Internet using the keyword IcedTea-Web 1.8.8

Method 2. Upgrade HDM firmware to the following versions:

Not resolved for G3 server. Due to the 32M flash chip space of the HDM chip, there is insufficient remaining space to write the new version of JAVA signature after adding it to the firmware, so it cannot be implemented. Evaluation: Not resolved for G3 server. Use Method 1 for mitigation.

Resolved by upgrading HDM to version 3.54 or later for G5 server

G6 server upgrade HDM2 version 1.81 or above to resolve
