Network Topology

Some new versions of 75X and 105X may encounter this type of alarm:

%Nov 15 14:46:26:756 2024 Core IFNET/4/IF_ETHERNET_RX_FLOW_FAILED: -Slot=2; The inbound traffic volume drops below the threshold on Ten-GigabitEthernet2/0/31.
%Nov 15 14:46:26:756 2024 Core IFNET/4/IF_ETHERNET_RX_FLOW_FAILED: -Slot=2; The inbound traffic volume drops below the threshold on Ten-GigabitEthernet2/0/32.
%Nov 15 14:46:26:756 2024 Core IFNET/4/IF_ETHERNET_RX_FLOW_FAILED: -Slot=2; The inbound traffic volume drops below the threshold on Ten-GigabitEthernet2/0/33.

Problem Description

Some new versions of 75X and 105X may encounter this alarm, and customers may inquire about the conditions for its occurrence and recovery.

Process Analysis

As follows:

1. Check whether the traffic in the ingress and egress orientation of the port reaches the drop range, so as to print the generation and clear alarm logs (each 2 minutes is a check cycle).

2. Alarm generation/clear threshold for ingress and egress orientation:Alarm is generated when the rate of the first two times >1Mbps and the current rate <10Kbps. After the alarm is generated, the alarm is cleared when the rate of the first time after generation <10Kbps and the rate of the next two times >1Mbps.

Solution

This threshold does not support setting.
