Problem Description

The user provides an SMS platform, which interfaces via HTTP protocol using the GET method. Parameters are correct, but when clicking test, no SMS is received (Rx).

Process Analysis

1. Collect itom-msgforward-rs logs and analyze the error message Temporary failure in name resolution.


2. This error indicates that the system cannot resolve the domain name, meaning the DNS query failed.

3. For the Unified Platform, internal services need to perform domain name resolution through the DNS server configured on the matrix interface. Refer to case https://zhiliao.h3c.com/Theme/details/222982 for inspection.
Alternatively, you can enter a service pod and use the curl command to test whether the HTTP domain is accessible.
On-site inspection shows that no DNS information is configured on the matrix interface.

Solution

1. On the matrix management interface, add the information of available DNS servers in the network.

2. After completing step 1, re-test the connection to the SMS platform.
