Problem Description

Failed to add F5000 to network assets due to a database error.

Process Analysis

By analyzing the debug logs of the network asset component (imcinventorydm), garbled characters were found in the collected data.

Further analysis through packet capture revealed that the garbled character data corresponds to the MIB node entPhysicalAssetID (1.3.6.1.2.1.47.1.1.1.1.15), which represents the entity asset ID.

Solution

Since the return value from the device side data shows garbled characters, contact the corresponding device engineer to ensure the data is readable under GBK encoding.
