Typical AC-FIT AP networking

Problem Description

A certain site reported feedback that some APs at the customer site frequently disconnect, affecting customer operations.

Process Analysis

(1) First analyze the pattern and scope of the fault and find that the offline APs are mainly concentrated under specific POE switches

(2) Ping tests reveal that the APs under this POE exhibit high latency and packet loss indicating the fault is likely concentrated on the POE switch

(3) Further checking of the switch and upper-layer aggregation device revealed that the aggregation modes of the interconnection ports of the switch and the upstream device were inconsistent.

Solution

Modify the aggregation mode of the interconnection ports between the POE switch and the uplink aggregation device to ensure consistency. After confirming the link is stable, the AP remains online stably, and the issue is resolved.
