Problem Description
Customer feedback Fan6 fan light not working. After replacing the fan, the issue was found to follow the slot.
Process Analysis
R5500 G6 fan 1-15 control (Ctl) signal topology, where fan 6-15 are directly connected to the SW board CPLD via 0404A1YT All-in-one cable, then to each fan.
The control (Ctl) signals for fan 1-5 are routed through the gold finger to the mainboard, then to the SW board CPLD via 0404A1QM All-in-one cable, and finally to each fan.
Solution
In this case the issue was resolved by replacing the sw and 0404A1YT All-in-one cable
