Sometimes after configuring the UIS cluster customer might receive Cache error on disk pool. In some cases, running the one click health option might also do not have repair option.

Problem Description

Alarm Details:

Description: Cache of host logical disk “/dev/sdx” is abnormal”

Level: Critical

Process Analysis

Check on server HDM Page for any hardware error.

Run the One Click Health Check but there was no repair option on the health check result.

Solution

Solution:

Run the One Click Health Check.

Run the command on Cli:

# arcconf getconfig 1 ad | grep “No-Battery”

If there is no output, then we need to run the health check again and observe the alarm. If no further alarm appears means the issue is fixed.

If the command out put shows No-Battery Write Cache: Disabled, then we need to enable the Battery Write Cache on cli.

No-Battery Write Cach                : Disabled

/opt/MegaRAID/storcli/storcli64 /c0/vall set pdcache=off
