We would like to know why our IMC suddenly remove the syslog or logging of devices on the dashboard or even the feature of syslog.
Before we are seeing all the logs of the switches but suddenly remove the syslog feature.
1.The imc environment of the customer is as follows: imc0703, the database is embedded sqlserver, and the client is not installed.
2.Check on the Monitor Deployment agent page，Check that the syslog database is almost full.(environment)
3.On the Process Monitoring page, check that the alarm process is running properly.
Root cause: Based on the previous analysis, it can be confirmed that the syslog storage of the database is full, which causes the alarm module to crash.
1.Restart the alarm module process, imcfaultdm.exe,
2.Setting data export, Set the parameters according to your needs,
Result: After the automatic export at dawn the next day, the database and IMC page are normal
Note: Do not set the IMC as the syslog server. A large number of device logs will crash the IMC alarm module. The maximum amount of data that an embedded database can withstand is 10GB. It is recommended to use an independent standard database.
